QualFab Keeps Its Sales Team Out of their Manufacturing Software with Commercient’s JobBOSS + Salesforce Integration

QualFab manufactures high-nickel alloy and stainless steel fabrications for demanding high-temperature and corrosive environments. Based in Avon, Ohio, the company draws on its skilled workforce to deliver custom fabrication projects and technical design guidance that help clients lower costs.

Challenge

QualFab was relying on a mapping software as its CRM, a tool that was never built for sales and lacked the features the team needed to manage leads and customers effectively. On the ERP side, the company ran JobBOSS to handle operations and financial information, but few integration options existed on the market to connect JobBOSS with a modern CRM.

After QualFab moved to Salesforce Enterprise for its sales process, the underlying problem remained: JobBOSS and Salesforce held separate pools of data with no link between them, leaving the sales team without a single place to find customer and order information.

Solution

QualFab implemented Commercient SYNC as a one-way integration connecting JobBOSS to Salesforce Enterprise. The integration proved to be a customizable, cost-effective fit for the company, since QualFab only paid for the features it actually needed rather than a broader, more expensive platform.

Keep our sales guys on the road, and out of the manufacturing software.

Results

With JobBOSS data now flowing into Salesforce, the sales team can access customer information, sales order history, invoicing, and more without leaving the CRM. Vanek noted that one of the goals behind the integration was to keep sales reps on the road and out of the manufacturing software entirely, and with data now searchable through the Salesforce mobile app, that information is available right at their fingertips wherever they are.

They are going to be able to search for data in Salesforce, on their phones. So it basically brings that right at their fingertips.
