On Sunday, October 23rd, 2016 our CEO Richard Jenkins and his daughter will participate in The Wellington Runner’s Club 12th Annual 10 Miler, Sebastian’s 5K Walk/Run and Kids Fun Run to benefit the Kid’s Cancer Foundation.

Giving Back

“The Wellington 10 Miler and Sebastian’s 5K Walk/Run will benefit the Kids Cancer Foundation of South Florida, a non-profit charity whose mission is to provide hope  and support to  local kids and families battling cancer. Sebastian’s 5K  Walk/Run is for those walkers/runners who might not be up  to a full ten mile run. This 5K is in  memory of Sebastian Sarmiento, a  courageous Wellington 9-year-old boy who lost  his battle with cancer on January 30, 2009.”

Last year The WRC 10 Miler and Sebastian’s 5K Walk/Run raised $12,000 for the Kids Cancer Foundation. This year the number of runners participating in the race has doubled because of a collaboration with the Couch to 5k fitness app and is expected to eclipse last year’s donation grand total.

Richard and his daughter are running the race as representatives of Commercient to raise awareness, provide hope and support to all the kids in their community battling cancer.
