Challenge
ScentAir needed to replace its older ERP and CRM systems to keep pace with its growth, updating its ERP to Sage X3 and moving to Salesforce Enterprise for sales, service, marketing, and internal communication. Once those systems were in place, Sage X3 data still needed to be connected to Salesforce, and the company needed better visibility into customer activity, invoicing, and sales commissions across teams.
Solution
ScentAir implemented Commercient SYNC to connect Sage X3 to Salesforce Enterprise, bringing over customer information, sales order history, serial numbers invoiced, multi-ship addresses, deliveries, unpaid invoices, customer movement, salesperson names, and more, including data from customized Sage X3 modules.
When we switched to Salesforce, it allowed us to grow more, not only from a sales standpoint, but from a service standpoint.
Results
With ERP data flowing directly into Salesforce, ScentAir's sales and service teams work from the same information about customers, orders, and sales commissions. Schauf noted that the company is now bringing over far more data from its ERP into the CRM, supporting not just sales but technical service calls as well. Having that data synced into Salesforce also helped increase adoption of the platform across ScentAir's divisions.
We're bringing over a lot more data from ERP to CRM, not only to assist sales, but also service calls from a technical service standpoint.
