Challenge
Heitek Automation needed to move off Tour de Force, its previous CRM, which was tied to an on-premise SQL server, and adopted Zoho CRM for its cloud-based, mobile-friendly platform. Once Zoho was in place, data between it and Epicor Prophet 21, the company's ERP system, remained siloed, leaving the sales team without easy access to open orders, receivables, payables, and other key ERP data.
Solution
Heitek Automation worked with Commercient to implement SYNC, connecting Epicor Prophet 21 to Zoho CRM, similar to the integration the company had used with its previous CRM. Customer information, sales history, invoicing, open orders, serial numbers invoiced, inventory, and multiple ship-to addresses now sync from Epicor Prophet 21 directly into Zoho.
There's a lot of value in that P21 data that we had. And that's why we took a look at Commercient to set up that integration.
Results
With Epicor Prophet 21 data available in Zoho CRM, Heitek Automation's sales team has a 360-degree view of sales and customers without needing to log into the ERP. According to President Scott Heiling, the company is prioritizing order data first, since it carries the most value for open order reports, accounts receivable, and payables.
We're bringing over the order data right now, so there's value on open order reports, the accounts receivable side of things, and payables.
