Challenge
Before working with Commercient, FE Ingredients' sales, customer service, and account management teams had no easy way to see order history and account activity outside of Sage 300. As the company prepared to fully migrate its sales operations from Monday.com to HubSpot, it needed reliable Sage 300 data flowing into the new CRM so reps could track invoicing dates and account health without switching systems.
Without that connection, account managers had no quick way to check whether a customer was still ordering on schedule, and the outbound sales and growth teams had no easy way to see whether an account's orders were growing or shrinking over time.
Solution
Commercient built a Sync integration connecting FE Ingredients' Sage 300 ERP directly to HubSpot, putting up-to-date account and order data in front of every team inside the CRM they already use daily. The customer service and account management teams can now see the last invoice date for each customer right on the account page, so they know exactly when to follow up to keep orders on track.
The outbound sales and growth teams can see each account's order history and how it's trending over time, giving them an immediate view of whether a customer's business is expanding or slowing down.
In terms of Sync, it's been useful for us. We've fully migrated our sales operations to HubSpot, and this was a necessary portion of that, so we generate some reporting and have a better understanding of account health now, which is the main goal.
Results
With Sage 300 data flowing into HubSpot, FE Ingredients' account management team can immediately see which customers are due for a reorder, and the growth team can track how quickly a new account's business is expanding, often growing from an initial 25 to 30 percent share of a customer's ingredient purchases to as much as 80 percent. The integration gave the company a clearer, shared view of account health across its sales and service teams as it completed its move to HubSpot.
FE Ingredients is already planning its next Sync project with Commercient, this time connecting Sage 300 data on market and customer demand into HubSpot to support more accurate product forecasting.
Having that easily visible on each account page is useful. It gives us an immediate history of the account, so we can see how these people are performing to expectations, and if they're growing, we can understand why.
