Challenge
EGC Engineered Solutions had Salesforce Enterprise in place but needed help building out a stronger sales process and reporting structure, since data from Sage 100, its ERP system, remained siloed from the CRM. Without that connection, the sales team, sales managers, and VP of Sales lacked a consolidated way to see order data, transactional information, and analytics in one place.
Solution
EGC worked with Concept to build out its sales process, pipeline, activity management, and reporting in Salesforce, and the two companies worked with Commercient to implement SYNC, connecting Sage 100 to Salesforce Enterprise. Customer information, invoicing, multi ship addresses, sales orders, serial numbers, price levels, item master, and inventory data now sync from Sage 100 directly into Salesforce.
Commercient is SYNCing transactional information, their order data and such, which helps generate reports and analytics in Salesforce. It's great for the VP of Sales, Managers, and the Sales Team to have all that information in one place.
Results
With transactional and order data synced into Salesforce, EGC's sales team, managers, and VP of Sales can generate reports and analytics from one place instead of switching between systems. New and updated accounts and sales orders created in Salesforce also sync back to Sage 100, saving time, avoiding double data entry, and reducing the risk of errors.
Overall, it's been a really good experience working with the Commercient team to get EGC's SYNC set up.
