Challenge
DDP Roofing Services was managing its sales process through a combination of spreadsheets and an older CRM, making it difficult to track opportunities, customers, and account activity in one place. The company also needed a way to connect that sales data with Sage 300 CRE, its ERP system for operations and finance, so its team could see accounting records, invoicing, and job details without switching systems.
Solution
DDP Roofing Services worked with The Alias Group to move off spreadsheets and its previous CRM onto Salesforce Professional, then partnered with Commercient SYNC to connect Salesforce to Sage 300 CRE. The integration gives the sales team access to customer accounting records, sales orders, invoicing, work orders, ServiceSite data, and job cost master information directly within Salesforce.
The sales team can see certain data like what accounts have been billed, what's been paid. SYNC'd contact information helps with invoicing; the location the work is done isn't always where the invoice needs to be sent.
Results
With Sage 300 CRE data synced into Salesforce, DDP Roofing Services' sales team can see which accounts have been billed and paid without leaving the CRM, and synced contact information helps route invoices correctly even when a job site differs from the billing address. The team also has a full view of customers, sales, and marketing, making it easier to track account growth and manage relationships over time.
It's really nice to be able to go to an account and just see how a customer is doing, especially for account management. Like seeing the growth of a customer, and variants of who's up and who's down.
