Challenge
Crescent Bronze needed to modernize its sales system and had been relying on Sage 500 for its ERP needs for years without a modern CRM to support its sales team. Data between Sage 500 and any newly adopted CRM remained siloed, making it difficult for the sales team to quickly analyze sales trends, spot lapsed customers, or build reports that could guide sales strategy and highlight the most productive market segments.
Solution
Crescent Bronze adopted Salesforce to modernize its sales processes and worked with Commercient SYNC to connect it to Sage 500. Years of sales history are synced into Salesforce, giving the sales team access to customer information, terms, inventory, invoices, and billing and shipping addresses without leaving the CRM.
It consolidates the information from Sage, and it's available and visible in Salesforce very quickly. Sales doesn't need to go to multiple screens for that information.
Results
With Sage 500 data available directly in Salesforce, Crescent Bronze's sales team can follow up with customers faster and approach accounts more proactively, without switching between multiple screens. The integrated data also makes it easier to build reports, analyze market segments and sales trends, and identify lapsed customers to guide future sales strategy.
There's really no question that as we move into the future, technology like the Commercient SYNC integration are going to play a pivotal role in helping us.
