Challenge
ClockSpring|NRI's field sales team lacked access to data stored in Global Shop Solutions, the company's ERP system, leaving them without visibility into customer accounting records, invoicing, order history, pricing, and inventory while working in the field. The company also relied on a previous CRM that wasn't powerful enough to manage its growing base of customer accounts and opportunities, and any new accounts, contacts, or quotes created in the CRM had to be manually re-entered into the ERP system, creating unnecessary double data entry for the sales team.
Solution
ClockSpring|NRI replaced its previous CRM with Salesforce Enterprise and worked with Commercient SYNC to connect it to Global Shop Solutions. The two-way integration gives the field sales team direct access to ERP data, including accounting records, invoicing, order history, pricing, and inventory, directly within Salesforce, while new and updated accounts, contacts, and quotes created in Salesforce are automatically synced back to Global Shop Solutions.
Our field sales team has direct access to shipment tracking information, if the customer has been notified of their shipment, and when an invoice is paid by the customer. It's a huge time saver.
Results
With Commercient SYNC in place, ClockSpring|NRI's field sales team can see shipment tracking information, shipment notifications, and invoice payment status without leaving Salesforce, giving the company a 360-degree view of sales, customers, and marketing. Eliminating manual double data entry between the two systems freed up about 40% of the sales team's day, according to Tashina Santich.
About 40% of the day was freed up for our sales teams from doing those manual double entries.
