Challenge
Quotes sit at the center of Aggtrans's entire sales process, and on an average day the team is producing or updating between 30 and 50 of them, all originating in the company's Infor FACTS ERP. Aggtrans had already built its Salesforce process around objects tied to quotes, customer data, and sales rep activity, but without that ERP data flowing into Salesforce automatically, the sales team couldn't rely on the CRM to reflect what was actually happening with a customer's quotes, invoicing, or account status on any given day.
Solution
Commercient's sync brings that daily quote activity, along with customer information, multi-ship addresses, invoicing, and inventory availability, from Infor FACTS into Salesforce. That gives Cedric Pittman's sales team a copy of the data they can trust is accurate and current, which they use to decide what activities to prioritize each day. Aggtrans is also planning a next phase that would let updated customer and contact information entered in Salesforce sync back to Infor FACTS.
The quote is sort of the center of what we do. On an average day, we're handling somewhere between 30 and 50 quotes, whether it be producing new quotes or updates, and that data is synced into Salesforce each day. We use that information to inform what activities we're going to do on a daily basis, and having an accurate copy that's where it needs to be has been key to what we do.
Results
The sales team now works from quote, invoicing, and account data in Salesforce that stays accurate day to day, giving Cedric visibility into win rates and customer history without having to leave the CRM. That reliability, combined with a much better user interface than the team's old systems, is pushing more of the business onto Salesforce, including accounting staff who are gradually moving off older paper-based processes to track cases and invoices there as well. Aggtrans has also called out Commercient's support team for responding quickly and staying on top of issues as the company works toward its next phase.
The response time and responsiveness has been great, something you can count on. It's usually an email, and then right away we work to resolve the problem.
